There is a direct bus going from "Bergen Bus station" to Herdla, route 499. Check the times at skyss.no. You can travel for free at the bus with "Bergenskortet"-
By car
Herdla is located on th enorthern tip of Arkøy. From bergen, follow Riksveg/Norwegian National Road 555 towardsa Askøy/Sotra to Storavatnet. Here you change to Riksveg 562 over the Askøy bridge and continue all the way to Herdla.
Continue 500 meters after you have passed the Herdla bridge, then turn left towards Herdla fort. There is a parking lot and toilets by the fort. You can see a big, lightly coloured building from the parking lot where the museum is situated.
Driving time is estimated to be ca. 45 minutes.
